Types of digital graphics
Raster Images
Raster Images are images that are made using a pixel grid and the pixels will fit perfectly in the squares and won't overlap them. Most modern computers have bitmap displays as each pixel corresponds to a small number of bits in memory.
Vector Images
Images made up of shapes and polygons, they don't lose clarity when stretched. They make bit map images a lot clearer. Vector images are also ideal for printing since it's made from a series of curves and will print a lot smoother and when you also photo copy them larger they will still keep the good quality they had before.
