Pixels and Image Resolution

A Pixel also known as picture element is the smallest part in an image it can only be a single colour. 1000's of pixels make up one image the more pixels in an image the higher quality the image will be because more pixels will make it up because if an image only contains a few hundred pixels you will begin to see the squared pixels and the picture won't look high quality because you'll see the pixels e.g. in the first Mario game the characters and the level was pixelated because you could see squares on them because they didn't have good technology back then and games today you see no pixilation whatsoever because the games are of really high quality. Also images can be measured by pixels so you know how large they are e.g. 1000 x 300 pixels. Each pixel is given an RGB value which stands for red, green and blue because every colour has at least one of those colours within it. Resolution is how many pixels are in an image and if it is clear or not e.g. if a picture is the same size as another and it uses a lot less pixels the picture will have lower resolution and be lower quality.
